The main lines
- Paris–Rouen–Le Havre: via Vernon-Giverny (about 45–50 minutes) and Rouen (about 1h 10m–1h 30m), ending at Le Havre (about 2 hours).
- Paris–Caen–Cherbourg: via Évreux and Lisieux to Caen (about 2 hours), Bayeux (about 2h 20m) and Cherbourg.
- Lisieux–Trouville-Deauville: a branch to the seaside; some trains run direct from Paris.
Where trains don't go
There are no trains to Honfleur, Étretat, the D-Day beaches or Mont-Saint-Michel itself. Buses connect Le Havre with Étretat and Honfleur, tours start from Bayeux and Caen, and Mont-Saint-Michel is reached by bus from Rennes or Pontorson.
Tickets
Trains are run by SNCF (Nomad regional trains in Normandy). Book ahead for the best fares, especially at weekends and in summer.
